Switzerland Day hikes

The Jungfrau region is a paradise for hiking and skiing. The small villages of Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen, Wengen and Murren, surrounded by the the 4000 metres high mountains of Eiger, Mönch und Jungfrau are perfect destinations for a week´s hiking or skiing.

Switzerland is also a perfect country to start hiking with small kids since you can make short easy hikes filled with stunning experiences like hiking to lovely lakes like Bachalpsee, swimming to waterfalls in Oeschiensee or walking in the snow in the middle of Summer in the Jungfrau region. Kids up to 6 go for free on all lifts.

How to get to the Jungfrau region?

It is really easy to get to the Jungfrau region from example Zurich since the trains are super efficient and comfortable.

We have heard there can be delays but that has never happened to us. From Zurich it is a little more than a three hours beautiful railway trip to for example Grindelwald. You change trains once - in Interlaken.
